The below-named person hereby applies for member ship in the Overseas Automotive Council, Inc. (OAC), the International Aftermarket Division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA). Accompanying this completed application is my business card and payment of one year’s dues in the amount shown on page 2 of this application appropriate for the membership type indicated. Payment may be made by check or properly completed charge card authorization (below). I understand that OAC’s bylaws require that all membership applications be voted on by the board of directors. I further understand that, if approved for membership, the term of my membership is one year, automatically renewable at prevailing dues. I also agree that as a member of OAC, I will abide by all of the Council’s bylaws. If this application is not accepted, OAC will immediately refund the full amount of the enclosed check or destroy the credit card authorization. Eligibility Requirements

International Members
Individuals domiciled outside of North America who are either directly or indirectly engaged in the international sale, marketing, distribution, or transport of automotive products manufactured in North America and who are employed either by independent firms or by North American firms, their affiliates, or subsidiaries are eligible for international membership.

Domestic Members
Individuals currently engaged in marketing or sales of automotive products of a North American manufacturer are eligible for domestic membership either as an

  • employee of such manufacturer or
  • employee of an exporting company authorized by such manufacturer to market or sell its products internationally


    • Also eligible for domestic membership are individuals associated with

  • a bank involved in financing international sales or overseas collections
  • an international freight forwarder
  • a transportation company moving products from the United States to international markets
  • a publisher of international trade publications
  • a trade association
  • service provider(s)

    International Members
    OAC international member dues are $175 and $150 for annual renewals.

    Domestic Members
    Membership dues for the first year must be included with the application. Domestic membership dues are:

    Individuals with companies having multiple OAC members can choose to pay annual corporate dues of US$2,000 which entitles them to unlimited number of company employees as members. Note: members utilizing corporate membership must be an active employee of the company.


    Sponsor Information

    Two domestic OAC members in good standing must sponsor a domestic applicant. Two OAC members in good standing (at least one of whom is a domestic member) must sponsor an international applicant. In each case, the two sponsors must represent different organizations. If you are not an employee of a North American manufacturer, a letter from a North American manufacturer must accompany your application and confirm that you or the company that employs you is fully authorized to serve as an agent of the manufacturer to export its North American–made automotive products or to sell them overseas.
